its kinda funny how you don't really appricate bands you saw awhile ago and you don't think much of them. I remeber I saw hot rod circuit at the door in dallas because it was riley cordova's 17th birthday I think. But man this band rules so hard, for some reason sad sounding stuff always brings me up haha weird I know. Like this little number. You let me down for the last time truth privals and there's nothing you can hide and I wash my hands of you getting on with my life haters get fucked

5:07pm:
well I started my new job this morning bright and early at 5:30 its about what I expected right now I'm just unloading boxes from air planes. Then I had to do a shit ton of paper work and watch boring orientation movies. It seems like it will be an alright job, definately the kinda work I don't dread, I don't have to worry about stupid/bitchy people. The shifts are supposed to be only like 2 hours, its hard but its kinda quick and I have the rest of the day ahead of me to do whatever I need to do. Thing that kinda sucks though is that since I'm just a "casual" handler I can be let go if bidness isn't doin to well but called back if it starts to get busy again. Which is kinda whatever to me, I'm not really looking to make a career just yet, I'm just lookin to get money so I can get bills paid alot easier. And also to buy my dream gear, well I'm not really in a band right now so I guess I wouldn't buy it now but it would be nice to have the money for whenever it happens. Anyhow, school is being a pain in the ass, all I really do during the week is school work, ah well hopefully it will pay off. When I'm not working my other job (still at FF) the weekends are fun. woowoo later live journal peepz

wow lj its been a while, but I still love you and you've gotten so big. There's lj groups about everything from akward moments to project run way. Anywho I guess I'll share a story, I'm still struggling to find a second job the fedex or ups thing didn't work out like I had planned, I may just have to do it the old fashioned way and cut my hair, shave and good looking for another one. I started working out alot more lately, its good for me and I enjoy it. I have lots of trouble sleeping at night for some reason, something about life in general just doesn't feel right at the moment. Feels kinda hopeless like its not going anywhere, it felt like this for a while though. I think its just hard for me to let go of a dream of doing something extordinary with my life, and not just settle for a boring job with a boring life. We'll see what happens. I'm usually not a fan of boring singer/song writer accoustic stuff but I really dig this Chris McCaughan stuff. I'm sure its probably just the bias I have for him since he's in the lawrence arms but I really do like it. Kinda reminds me of really old accoustic against me! Anywho thats all for now stay safe in lj land.

Well I'm back from Flordia, it was a good old time lots of laziness, swimming in the ocean, and plenty of booze on the beach, pretty awsome. But back to reality. Fast Forward was bought out by Zumiez, this corperation based in seattle, I'm not gonna get fired or anything like that but the store is gonna change a whole lot. I'm not sure how long I'll stay there once it becomes zumiez, I'm gonna give it a chance though, I can't imagine it would be a whole lot different from what I'm doing now I just have a feeling they're going to make that place gayer than it already is. It was kinda cool to work for a small company for a while, it was the first job I had where I didn't work for a big corperation. I'm not gonna get on a soap box and be all "fuck corperate america" because I was thinkin the other day unless you own your own buisness, have a skill job, or work for the government, your most likely gonna be working for a corperation. It was just kinda cool how everyone in the company was on a first name basis and everyone knew eachother, but all the cool higher ups are quitting because they don't want to move to seattle. I can't say I blame them, there's very few places I would leave Dallas for and rainy seattle is definately not one of them. Anyhow enough talk about that, its good to be home duders I hope to see alot of you very soon.

This weekend was pretty cool. Friday marked the day me and Lauren had been 'boyfriend/girlfriend' for 6 months, that was pretty cool. Then played in Austin where we played like shit but kids had fun so I guess thats good, met some pretty crazy characters through out the weekend. The superbowl was a lot of fun by night fall that place was out of control everyone was wasted, its definately something I'll always remeber. When bitter end played I don't think I've ever seen so many people mosh at once it was awsome, and Keith is my favorite live bass player in texas. I could fill this entry with a shit load of inside jokes because there was alot of amazing shit that happened this weekend but I'll spare everyone. Last week of school w00t w00t!

peanutbutter hershey kisses rule my life. I realized today that I hate bob marley more than anything and think he's the most overrated peice of shit ever. I also knew that this hatred sprouted from hearing it at work over and over and over and over and over again. I actually used to sorta like his music but now I think it's total shit and hes not this fuckin' musical genious that everyone tries to make him about to be. Hes just another kurt cobain, nobody would give two shits about him if he wasn't dead. It kinda made me wonder if I heard my favorite bands over and over again I would grow to hate them as much as I hate bob marley...food for thought.

4:33am: what life is all about right now
I wanna say first and foremost that I invented a drink tonight called the Jeff Reynolds, only I Jeff Reynolds know what is in it but I do have to tell you it's cr00sh. I also want to say DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR fuckin rules, I'm not gonna like they're probably my favorite band in hardcore and they are hands down my favorite tough guy band. Those dudes rule, everytime I see them great great band, it takes a lot for a hardcore band to impress me just because I've seen so many but they are truely incredible. I also wanna say I'm really lucky to have the girl that I have. She's really sweet and really smart and I'm not gonna lie this is the first time I've ever been in love with a girl, and it feels pretty good. I miss her alot even if her dad hates me but thats alright because he can't do shit to me, I'd love to see him try a take a swing at Jeff Reynolds, and I love his daughter and theres nothing he can do about it. I also wanna say I love my mom, she seriously rules, I'm not a mama's boy, I never have been but I seriuously love my mom shes a sweethart. I love the women in my live i.e. Lauren (first and formost)My mom, and holly.

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal along with your seven songs. 1. Johnny Cash- Wanted Man Just the typical boom-chicka-boom Johnny Cash, I just have a thing for songs about going to prison I suppose. 2. Trial- Reflections It's got awsome lyrics to it, and the more I listen to trial the more I see bands today that try to rip them off. 3. The Lawrence Arms- Chapter 13: The Hero Appears Just another very well writen Lawrence Arms song that flows really well and has a good sing along part that would be fun to listen too with your friends when your really drunk. 4. Strike Anywhere- Infared ...it's strike anywhere theres nothing more to say. 5. The Ataris cover of Don Henley - Boys Of Summer I don't know why I like this song, I really don't like the ataris all they're songs only appel/can relate to depressed teenangsters, but they don't sound all that bad when they sing other peoples songs. 6. Bad Religion- Sorrow I hadn't heard this song in a long time, but I heard it again recently and remebered what a great song it is. 7. Modern Life is War- D.E.A.D.R.A.M.O.N.E.S. Gotta love the sing along at the end w00t! Show tonight that means I get to see my friends, and my woman, finally.

I do have to say I'm pretty productive when I can't sleep. I've read alot of this book for school and I've learned the majority of this trial song. Still sucks though I got a long day ahead of me some sleep would have been nice, ah well guess I'll read some more and cook myself a big breakfest.

12:34pm: and all we got is brokeback mountain!!
Last night I finally went and saw brokeback mountain with Lauren, the funny thing is that was actually our first real "date" I've been with her for 3 months but never actually took her out so I figured I'd man up and take her to see a love story between 2 cowboys. There were definately some part where the audience laughed and they weren't supposed to, as much as I hate to admit it, it wasn't all that bad of a movie. A little too long but not all that bad, plus you got to see the girl from the princess's diary's boobs, that was cool. I also finally figured out how to hook my record player up to my speakers so I've been rockin the shipwreck 7" all morning, totally cr00sh. I love vynil but I can tell the difference in sound quality from a CD, still cr00sh!
